MINUTES OF BUXTON WITH LAMAS PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
held in BUXTON VILLAGE HALL on MONDAY 26 APRIL 2010 at 7.40pm

The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting.               

1.  APOLOGIES were accepted from Mr G. Breeze, Mr G. Forster, County Councillor D. Harrison and PCSO T. Frost.  County Councillor Harrison was attending the Safer Neighbourhood Action Plan meeting in Aylsham on behalf of the Parish Council

2.  DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
None.

3.  PLANNING MATTERS
No applications had been received.

4.  FINANCE

4.1 Payments
Proposed by Councillor Nichols, seconded by Councillor Powell, payment for the following was APPROVED:
Norse Commercial Services Ltd;
      Village grounds maintenance (1 of 7)             382.54}
      BALAY Park grounds maintenance (1 of 7)    843.65}                            1,226.19

4.2 Insurance Cover

The Clerk reported that administration of the Council’s insurance policy had been transferred from Allianz Insurance plc to the Local Council Team within Aon Limited.

The Clerk had ascertained from the agreement between the Parish Council and Big Lottery/Broadland District Council for funding of the BALAY Park play equipment that Property Damage cover was not stipulated for the equipment as the Parish Council was a statutory organisation.  However, repair or replacement of any item would be at the Council’s expense.
 
The meeting reviewed the Renewal Schedule and AGREED the following amendments:

Mandatory cover:
Increase Public Liability to £10 million, as advised by the Internal Auditor
Property damage – Street furniture (All risks):

Reduction in value of noticeboard to £500
Increase in number of bench seats to 8 at a value of £250 each
Removal of Traditional seat
Reduction in number of litterbins to 5 at a value of £200 each (the Clerk to check what difference this would make to the premium)
Removal of Speed Watch equipment
Removal of BMX equipment

 

There being no further business, the Chairman closed the meeting at 7.55pm
